Hi friends! We went to the mountains yesterday with our good friends and had a really nice time. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. The leaves were golden, burnt orange, and fiery red. The sun was golden and shining bright, and the air was crisp, just as a fall day ought to be.
We ate lunch at a delicious little pub. I got a salmon BLT. Now, I've always been a big fan of regular BLT's, but when I saw this on the menu, I just couldn't resist. I'm also a big fish fan and love good grilled salmon. Let me tell you, that was a good sandwich.
We went to our favorite little coffee shop, Espresso News, and enjoyed some good coffee. They roast their own beans every day, so they are fresh, fresh, fresh. I had the best americao I've had in a really long time.
We then drove through the backroads of the mountains, and enjoyed the scenery.
It was a perfect day, if you ask me.
After discussing how we had no good Chinese take-out restaurants in our city, Lee and I happened upon one right under out noses. I think I've probably driven by it a million times but never paid any attention.
So we decided to finish the night off with our first-ever-since-being-married Chinese takeout, and watched a movie. It was delicious, but I ate a little too much. oops:)
Hope y'all enjoyed your weekend too,
Bonte
