Happy New Years!

What are your plans to welcome in the New Year?
Hopefully my husband will be kissing me:) As far
as a party goes...

We were planning to travel to my sisters + spend it with our best friends/family, but sick kids
has canceled that last minute. Now our options are open.
We'll have to figure something out before tomorrow night I guess.

Well our Christmas was more wonderful than ever. Lots of food, family, friends, gifts, laughs, food, food, did I mention food?

The gyms been kicking my butt this week:)

I'm looking forward to New Years with family...

Well...now I get to go make dinner with my new Cuisinart food processor,
thanks to my wonderful husband.

Merry Christmas dear friends!!!
What a wonderful season to close a wonderful year. This year has brought much goodness to our lives, as well as much change. I am leaving it a different person, one more trusting, with a heart to give + bless more this next year. I am so excited to start yet another new season. I don't know what 2012 holds, but I know it will be good, and I can't wait to find out.

We enjoyed a fun filled day with lots of family + lots of food (and some wonderful presents too).
We are more than blessed.

You can tell me I'm crazy, but I love tinsel. There's just something

so magical and old fashioned about it... I decided to put it on our tree this year.

red tinsel....it shines so pretty in the lights.

I was telling my mom about my tinsel and she reminded me of a story when she was a little girl.

Her and her sister would be so excited to decorate their christmas tree. They'd put up all the ornaments, and then finally, the tinsel, and go to bed thinking it looked just lovely. Little did they know that after they were tucked away warm in their beds, Mom would secretly take everything down and redecorate. They would wake up in the morning, look at their tree, and admire their great decorating.

 I miss my Grandparents. I haven't seen them since last Christmas when we went home to WA. Christmas makes me miss the people I love. I wish I could be with all of them, all the time.

it's the time of year when all good dreams come true

a few months ago we drove to the mountains with some friends in search of a christmas tree farm.

we found one...and it was just the right thing.

the day was sunny. crisp. and just lovely.

One day, when I have a house that allows, I want to get a real tree & a white tree!

I'm in love with white trees but I don't think a fake tree could be my main tree. I like real ones too much.

So, I've decided I just have to have both, and I can't wait for that day!

I got some holiday baking done over the weekend, most of my presents wrapped and under the tree,
and my favorite christmas movies watched.
I'm so glad it's a short work week. I can't wait for Christmas break.
O I love the holidays...
