Welcome to What I Wore Wednesday {Week 34: Us in NYC}
Well, this week's WIWW is a bit different. My handsome and stylish husband Lee is joining us! I documented each of our nights in NYC with an elevator picture. When it's just you and your spouse traveling, how else are you going to get a photo of the two of you together? Mirrors, of course! The quality is not top notch, but it was a fun way to document our nightly outings.

Colenimo
We're back, and luckily our trip just missed Hurricane Sandy. We, or I should say I, was beginning to get worried on our last day in NYC. We kept seeing news flashes of the storm headed right towards us. Driving turned out to be the best idea because we didn't have to worry about cancelled flights due to the approaching storm. The drive home was great, besides a few hours of rain. I can't say that I'd ever drive there again, but it was a good one-time experience. We got back late last night and are beyond tired, in the best kind of way. I can't wait to tell you all about our trip to the big city, but that will have to wait. I am so behind on work emails and orders, so I must get to it. I'll post soon I promise.
In other news, I love this 1930's inspired spring 2103 collection by Colenimo. It's simple and beautifully put together.
Plus, I need to find myself a hat like that.

Louis Vuitton ss13
One of my favorite collections from Paris fashion week was Louis Vuitton's spring 2013 collection. I love the checkerboard print that colored the very 60's styled models. Beehives were the hair do of choice, and the 60's silhouettes were shown in short, mid, and long lengths. The models walked two by two down escalators onto a very loud white and acid yellow checkerboard runway.
These are the models and designer backstage. There's something so fun about behind the scenes photos to me. I love everything about this collection and would have loved to see the show. I hope you have a lovely Monday. I have all sorts of things to get done before we leave on vacation tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Diana Vreeland
I'm so excited to see the film, The Eye Has To Travel. It's about Harpers Bazar Editor and fashion icon, Diana Vreeland. It was said of her by close friends, "She was and remains the only genius fashion editor."
A few random facts from around the web:
She was born in Paris in July 1903
She moved to Albany, NY with husband her two sons until 1929. It was too expensive so they moved to London where she danced and opened a lingerie boutique
Her favorite Paris shopping was Chanel (Big surprise, right?)
Became a columnist for Harpers in 1937
She was a ballet dancer
She loved the 60's
She was a fashion editor at Harper's Bazaar for 26 years
I love fashion films. We just re-watched The September Issue last night, which I never tire of seeing. It always inspires me and my dreams.
Is anyone else planning to see it? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
"You're not supposed to give people what they want. You're supposed to give them what they don't know when want yet." Diana Vreeland

What I Wore Wednesday
Hi friends,
Welcome to What I Wore Wednesday {Week 32: Golden Leaves}
I cannot tell you how happy I am to have beautiful, golden, crunchy leaves on the ground. Fall has finally arrived in full force. The trees are an array of gold, orange, and firey red. I'm hoping for one more trip to the mountains to see the foliage in all of it's splendor. Yesterday was Tuesday which means NYC is only 1 week away! Hiphip Horrayyyyy!

What I Wore Wednesday
Welcome to What I Wore Wednesday {Week 31: Swing'n in the Sunshine}
Well, it's been a chilly week here and I'm loving every second of it. I've worn sweaters and scarves every single day. We haven't turned the heat on yet, but we have pulled out our little wall heater. It does a pretty good job of keeping us nice and toasty in the mornings and evenings.
