rough sketch

So...good news to announce, at least to me!

I finally pulled out my pencils and sketchbook this week, and boy did it feel good.

Sketching is one of my favorite things. I sort of get lost in another world when I do it, and it relaxes me.

I'm working on a new project, and these were a few of my pencil sketches. 

Here's to rediscovering a long lost love of mine.

You should try it sometime. It's freeing!

Homemade Pizza

Yumminess, that's all I can say.

We've started a little Sunday night tradition at our house...and it's just so fun.

Sunday night is pizza night! We have 2 favorites that we normally rotate between, with an occasional experiment every now and again.

Pizza #1: Traditional Margarita

{Ingredients}

Cento whole peeled tomatoes in the can (for the sauce)

Fresh Mozzarella 

Tomatoes

Fresh basil & lots of it!

I don't understand how those few simple things 

can make such a killer combination, but watch out, it's addictively good. 

Pizza #2: Rustica

 

{Ingredients}

Spinach

Kalamata olives

sundried tomatoes

carmelized onions

mozzarella

goat cheese

oh, just the thought is making me want some right now.
