M by MJ RTW s/s 2013

I always love me some Marc Jacobs. Here's a peek at his RTW s/s 2013 collections.
It's full of oversized layering and mix-n-match prints/patterns which make for a comfortable, relaxed look.

Hope you have a grrrreat Monday! It's on the chilly side here today. Temps dropped to the 40's last night and I actually kind of like it. I think sweater weather is better weather. I'll take layers, boots and a scarf any day over sweaty, sticky humidity.

Twenty Seven Names

The New Zealand company Twenty Seven Names was established in 2006 by artist and designers Rachel Easting and Anjali Stewart. Their spring collection, Nine Lives, is a mesh of working class uniform, delicate frocks, defined stripes, and petite florals.

I thought it was rather charming. Well, I'm glad it's Friday because I get to pick my husband up from the airport tonight. He's been in NY the past few days. We are headed right to hangout with some dear friends for a long awaited sleepover. It should be fun. Hope you're weekend is full of sunshine and crisp fall air.

What I Wore Wednesday

Hello friends,

Welcome to What I Wore Wednesday {Week 30: Mod}

I wanted to do a mod fashion shoot for this week's post, with my new 60's inspired hair. My dress is a vintage favorite that I've had for years. I dug it out of my closet (literally) and altered it a bit. I am glad I did because I love how these photos turned out. A big thank to my sweet friend Heather who teams up with me for these WIWW shoots. She is such an amazing photographer. I swear she gets better and better every week.

Dress: Vintage // Boots: Seychelles // Earrings: Vintage

A few things I learned from this shoot:

1. Sometimes I just crack up and start laughing when I'm getting my picture taken.
2. Model's poses are definitely not as easy as they look. Ha!
3. It seems the most awkward feeling poses look the most natural on film.
4. I'm glad my friend's the one taking pictures of me (I would feel so uncomfortable otherwise).

Don't forget to check out The Pleated Poppy for more WIWW posts.

Cheers,
Bonte
