Hope you all had a good weekend! Ours consisted mostly of working, working working, but we got a little down time yesterday which was much needed. We got caught in a torrential downpour yesterday on our frozen yogurt date. Seriously, it was monsoon style rain. From the short time it took us to run from the store to our car, we were drenched. It was kinda fun actually. I love summer thunderstorms. I have also been trying all sorts of new recipes lately. I go through spurts of cooking inspiration and boredom. Lately, I've felt adventurous. I made a fruit tart for the first time this weekend, and it was delicious. Blackberry and peach, my new favorite combo. Let me just say, we were big fans...

We had crazy crazy flash floods this weekend. inches of water within minutes. and we've had storms like crazy this year! so so fun. the other night we went to micaiah's and watched from her fire escape at their apartment...i have never seen lightning so amazing. love it.
